Anesthesia is a function and skill set that all veterinarians possess, so our anesthesiologists primarily focus on supporting the most critical patients, as well as monitoring the consistency and quality of anesthesia across the hospital.

The cardiology department focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases of the cardiovascular system. Our cardiologists are dedicated to providing treatment options for pets with cardiac conditions.

The internal medicine department focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the internal organs. Our board-certified internists are skilled diagnosticians and will work with you to explain and explore the full context of diagnostic and treatment options.

Specialists in nutrition work closely with you and your pet’s veterinary team to create personalized nutritional strategies for preventing and treating diseases, as well as addressing weight management.

Diagnostic imaging is a critically important core service at Summit. Having radiologists onsite helps us explore options for imaging so we can select the right test for each pet, perform imaging-assisted sampling, and monitor chronic conditions over time. 

The Urgent Care service is a same-day, appointment based service that serves as a bridge between general practice veterinary clinics and our 24-hour Emergency and Critical Care Department. If a pet ultimately needs more advanced care and/or hospitalization, referral to the Emergency and Critical Care Service is available. 

​Acupuncture may provide clinical improvement to functionally reversible conditions. It promotes homeostasis by balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. In particular, modulation of vagal activity plays an important role in pain regulation, immunologic function, gastrointestinal disorders, and cardiac conditions

Emergency services are available at any hour for your pet’s unanticipated medical needs. Our Emergency department is staffed by experienced emergency doctors and technicians, overseen by two boarded emergency and critical care doctors.

The neurology department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders relating to the nervous system. Our neurologists are experts at performing a comprehensive neurological examination to narrow down the location of the illness or injury.

The oncology department focuses on diagnosis, treatment, and supporting patients with cancer.  We provide compassionate, personalized care for you and your pet through their entire journey, and we share your family’s commitment to your pet’s quality of life.

Veterinary surgeons perform procedures that require specialized equipment, demanding technical skill, or more intensive supportive care than is available at your primary veterinarian’s office.
