A bit about Dr. Miller
After growing up with all kinds of pets, Dr. Laura Miller volunteered at a humane society and had the opportunity to work with a shelter veterinarian, which stoked her passion for veterinary medicine. She attended veterinary school at Michigan State University and completed an internship with Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center.
She enjoys emergency medicine because she never knows what type of case is going to walk in the door next, and she relishes the challenge of managing multiple body systems at once. On top of her career at Summit, Dr. Miller also finds time to run the 501c3 kitten rescue she founded in Michigan. The organization has fostered and found homes for over 40 kittens in 1.5 years!
Outside of work, Dr. Miller loves spending time with friends, hiking, playing Nintendo Switch, and of course - fostering kittens. She also has a 12-year-old Cattle dog mix named Orian and a 10-year old 3-legged chihuahua named Pogo.
